Jim Flautt, CEO Asia Pacific and Japan
As CEO-Asia Pacific, Jim is responsible for all facets of Asurion's Asia operations. During his 13 years at Asurion, Jim has previously led Asurion's supply chain management operations, program management team as well as product management and product marketing teams for Asurion's handset insurance, warranty management and roadside assistance businesses. Before joining Asurion in 2002, Jim worked at DigitalThink, Mckinsey and Co. and served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Officer. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the United States Naval Academy, Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Philosophy from Cambridge University and an MBA from Stanford University.
Trip Meredith, SVP Asia Pacific Chief Operating Officer
Trip is responsible for Asurion’s Asia Pacific Supply Chain, Care, Strategic Operations, and Risk Management teams as well as the Global Business Transformation initiative. He has held multiple positions at Asurion including roles in Supply Chain, Finance, and Risk Management. Prior to joining Asurion in 2003, Trip worked at The Boston Consulting Group and GE Capital. Trip graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Psychology and earned an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Alexander Cuthbert, Chief Information Officer APAC
As CIO, Alex leads all IT work which requires managing systems and data centres that run Asurion’s core products and internal systems across all APAC countries. Alex has over 20 years IT systems delivery experience and prior to joining Asurion, he has held senior roles specialising in IT Integration for Standard Chartered Banks Global Financial Markets and Accenture’s Financial Services Consulting practice. Alex holds a Bachelors (Honours) Degree in Information Systems from the University of Leeds, UK.
Chris Hignett, VP Commercial Development APAC
Chris has been with Asurion for 3 years. For the first 2 years, Chris was overseeing the launch of new programs, operations and business intelligence throughout APAC and more recently leading the Product and Business Development teams. Prior to joining Asurion, Chris held senior roles in customer operations, sales and marketing within the general insurance, telecommunications and subscription entertainment industries. Now leading the commercial development function, Chris and his team support the local business partners with business development, product development, commercial finance and retail execution.
Ciaron Murphy, VP Human Resources Asia
Ciaron has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications, insurance and professional services sectors. During his career, he has worked in Finland, Japan, Germany, India, Singapore and Hong Kong in a variety of domestic, regional and global HR roles. Ciaron brings a broad spectrum of experience to Asurion and as Vice President, Human Resources – Asia, is accountable for designing, building and delivering all Human Capital solutions across Asia.
Craig Horneman, Chief Financial Officer APAC
Craig has been CFO of Asurion APAC since February 2017 and was previously CFO of Asurion Australia for four years where he was instrumental in evolving the Australian business by supporting the business strategically, commercially and operationally. Prior to joining Asurion, Craig had over 20 years experience in the financial services(Insurance) and IT industries for large multinational organizations such as HP, in finance, operational and commercial related roles. Before joining Asurion, Craig was Head of Finance and CFO for the Retails Life Business at TAL (formerly TOWER Australia). Prior to that Craig was the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Genworth Financial Australia.
Grant Perrin, CEO South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand
Grant has over 20 years’ experience in the mobile telecommunications industry; working at OEMs, carriers and service providers. At Nokia, he led the global customer service and repair operations. While at Teleplan, he established and led the mobile telecommunications business unit which was focused on delivering supply chain and customer service solutions to carriers and OEMs across the world. Grant has joined Asurion since 2013. Prior to his role as Asurion CEO, SEA and ANZ, Grant has led the Asia Pacific supply chain management as well as holding the role of CEO of Asurion Taiwan. Grant has lived and worked in Asia for over 13 years.
John Unger, General Counsel APAC
As General Counsel-Asia Pacific, John is responsible for all legal and compliance matters relating to Asurion's Asia operations. John previously served as Deputy General Counsel-Asia Pacific and contract counsel for Asurion's extended warranty business. Before joining Asurion in 2012, John served as General Counsel for a number of entities, including a U.S. regional bank holding company and an international real estate sales and marketing company. Prior to that he was a partner with the Nashville law firm of Bass, Berry & Sims. He holds a Bachelor's degree in English from Princeton University and an J.D. from Vanderbilt University.
